Several of us involved in founding OA received some training from the Jesuits. We were all serving as consultants to parishes in the Philadelphia area and saw their understanding of communal discernment as aligned with the secular OD training we had experienced. Also, when OA was beginning a number of people spoke of us as Anglican Jesuits. We were honored. And here in Seattle when I have engaged in a private retreat of several days and wanted a nearby place to attend a daily mass I went to a campus chapel or parish run by the Jesuits -- their liturgical sensitivity seemed closest to ours. However, if you're looking for a parallel in the Roman Catholic tradition -- I don't know of any that have a charism around shaping healthy and faithful parishes. But I wouldn't be surprised if there was one. When I was going through my OD training the Catholic Conference of Bishops staff was sending people to the same program.
